A hyphen (-) is used to separate parts of a compound word--"know-how"--or break a word between two lines. A compound noun used as an adjective is often hyphenated--"two-mile walk". A dash () is used to mark an interruption. One typically uses two hyphens instead of a dash, some word processors replace two consecutive hyphens automatically with a dash. Do not space before or after a hyphen. Spacing before or after a dash has no standard rules; we will NOT space before or after a dash.Use right little finger.
Type each line at least twice.

  DRILL BOX       Finger Drill
As mentioned in the previous lesson, it is very important that you do not look at the keys while you type. Try to maintain a constant speed. Hit each key without touching any of the neighboring keys. Keep fingers that are not typing in their home position.
Don't be discouraged by the fact that typing Finger Drills is much slower than regular word drills. This is to be expected.
This drill requires your full concentration. Take a short break before and after this drill--stretching, having a sip of your favorite beverage from a fridge, etc. are all good.
Type each line at least three times.
