Unit 1, Lesson 3: [O] and [E]
Always start with your fingers in the home position. Notice that on most keyboards, there is a little "bump" on the F and J keys. That should help you to find the home keys without looking at the keyboard. Try it several times--home position, clap your hands, home position, clap your hands, ... All without looking!Type each character with a quick sharp stroke, however do not hit the keys too hard---computer keyboards require much less force than the ones on classical typewriter.
Try to maintain an even pace.
When typing, look at the typing directions not at the keyboard. Avoid looking at the DRILL BOX too. Check for errors only after you've typed the entire line.
Stretch your fingers every 10 minutes, or after each DRILL BOX.
Stretch the whole body and take a walk around your house at least once every hour.
