I think that this program i really good! The only
thing tat I would change is that I would try and make
it fun for people of all ages; like add fun colors and
cool font or little games or somethimg. I think that
would make this program even better!

mickey mouse, san diego, california, usa

This is really awesome. I thought that I was going to
have to take a college class to learn to type fast but
this is working great. I have only done 2 lessons and
I can already feel the increase of speed in my typing.

Sandria , Lake Mary, Florida, USA

thanks it really does help me

     brend, downey, ca, usa

Hello,
I've been in and out of this typing classes for a
while and I thank you for letting me in your class.
I have just 1 question, how am I doing?
                         Thank you very much
                                 Sue

Sue, Cincinnati , Ohio , USA

05/27/2005:   Sue, if you can type all this without looking at the keyboard, you are doing great!

thank yoo for this keyborading lesson i really enjoy it

     tish, Gallup, NM, U.S

I really think this is a good program.I also think it
should not be in as many lessons. It should have
longer lessons and no as man of them.

     Zoid, Tampa , Florida, USA

05/27/2005:   It is our experience that it is easier and more fun to have short lessons. If you do all the drills in each lesson as many times as suggested, each lesson should take about 1 hour. This may even be too long for some people. Of course, nothing prevents you from doing 2 or more lessons at a time ;-)

I would like to thank you for the free typing classes.
I have learned so much! I think it would be a good
idea to make the overall review a essay. That way it
is a lot of typing of different words and a little
more challenging. Exspecially since I have gotten so
good at the other review drills. This is my favorite
web site and I would love a new challenge so.....
BRING IT ON:)

     MiZfEnDi, Norfolk, Virginia, United States

05/27/2005:   Our class is meant to get you started ... Drills in each lesson are created in such a way that they use only the keys that you've already learned. This would be difficult to do in an essay. And after you learned all the keys, it is up to you to work on your typing skills ... Good luck and keep up the good work!

I want to unlearn my self taught look-at-keys-typing-
in other words-relearn to type with out looking at the
keys-is this possible?

     Becky, gainesville, fl, usa

05/27/2005:   Definitely possible. I was like that myself and now I type without looking at the keyboard or even the screen.

I find this typing lesson to be very infomative and
so much of a help, I searched so many sites on typing
lessons and found this one to be the best. keep up
the good work!

     michelle, victorville, california, united states

Thanks. We are glad to hear that!:

great job!!!!!!!!!!

     Alex, n.c., usa

To me TypingClasses.com is a very good program. It
helped me to type faster and memorize where all the
keys are. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants
to learn to type or just likes to learn. It takes time
and practice, but it's worth it!!!

     Shahnta, New Jersey, United States

You should make the lessons as if the person typing
were getting tested. After their done with the
lesson, the computer should check the work they have
done, and tell them any thing they should work on.

     Ag, Bridgewater, New Jersey

05/27/2005:   This sounds good but it is way too much work to do it on a website like ours. There are many commercial programs available that will do this for you.

too much junk to go though to get the typing test

     zinker, Portland, Oregon, usa

The program really helped me.I was realy upset when I
couldn't get to the 8th lesson. Now I am the only one
who is 12 years old in the 6th grade who is the
fastest typing student.

                    Thank You

     Esperanza AKA candy, Killeen, Texas

Congratulations! ;-):

this program is boring

     liz, killeen, texas, united states

I am 26 yrs old, and I just recently started a
keyboarding class in an Adult Ed Program offered in my
home town. My instructor told me in my last class that
this web site was available online. I think it is a
wonderful benefit to my learning the keyboarding
process & I am VERY pleased to know about this page!!
THANKS!!

     Tricia S., Standish, Maine, USA

I have noticed that you use wam for "words a minute".
I think it would be more professional to use "WPM"
for "words per minute". I have seen this on
applications for employment etc. It would help to
elevate the quality of your site.

     Summer, Valley, AL, USA

10/26/2001:   Thank you, Summer. We of course want our site to look as professional as possible. We plan to make the change you suggested sometime very soon.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR THIS FREE COURSE.

     notcha, vicksburg, Misssissippi, usa

Just finished second lesson and wanted to thank you for
all the work you must have done to set up this web
site.I'm 78 years old and this is a little tough, but I
am going to try.
                 Thanks again, Bill

     Bill, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA

I've really learned alot about typing, from this page.

     joann ammons, tallahassee, florida, usa

I think that this program was very helpful. I am in
7th grade and I am 12 years old this year. I am in a
typing class and I just could not figure out how to
type without watching my hands. Thanks for making this
program it really helped me. Now I am the fastest
typer and the only one who does not look at their
hands. Now that I took this class on my computer two
weeks ago, I got an A+ in my typing class at school.
Now I would like to say thank-you once again.
                  Sincerely,

     Kristen Hall, Dayton, Iowa, usa

3/29/2001:   Letters like this one keep our web-site running, they give us energy and motivation to keep adding more and more lessons and encourage us to make our web-site better and better. Thank you, Kristen, for your kind words! We were glad to help! Good luck with your other classes.

I have been using the 'hunt and peck' method for the
last 15 years. After 2 weeks of your course, I can now
type. Although I can now type half as fast as with the
old method, the proper method will eventually allow me
to type faster and more accuratly. I can now persue my
MBA online thanks to you. Like myself, we have several
'old timers' at work and we all have computers at our
desks. I am the only 'old timer' that can type. Thank
you and I will recommend TypingClasses.com.

     Chris Thomas, Ca

i would like to improvemnt thanks for the help

     lericia, saramento, california, usa

When will we see the next new lesson? I know it's been
vacation time but it seems like 3-4 weeks since the
last one.

Thanks

JT, Southfield, , MI , USA

I'm beginning to lose faith. It's been about 3-4 weeks
and no new lessons, What's the plan for finishing off
the series? When can I expect this to be completed?

Things have been Great so far except for the slow down!

     Jonathan, Southfield, Michigan, USA

3/29/2001:   Sorry, JT. We got behind in publishing more lessons because of the work on Typing Timer. From now on, things will pick up. Expect a new lesson every two weeks or so. Thanks for being patient.

how can I get better at typing?

     Elaine, Welch, WV, usa

3/29/2001:   Simple--take all the lesson at TypingClasses.com!

I would like to have my typing lessons timed to see
how fast I could type.

     Jessie, Miami, Fl, Bogota

3/29/2001:   Since this an HTML-based typing course, you have to measure the time yourself. However, if you run Microsoft Windows, our Typing Timer should help!

Thank You for helping me to learn to type. This is a
great Typing Class. Is there a typing test I could
take on this sight?? I need to learn to type 35wpm, and
i have been taking your classes, but I would like to
know how much words I have learned to type.

     Marsha, Plantation, Florida

I think your website is ok but it should have some
pictures to excite you a little bit
and a little game to play while you are at it. just to
rest a little because sometimes your fingers can get
tired.I would also want to see all my questions get
answered.or i am going to stop visiting this new
website.otherwise your website is fine.at the end of
each lessons please write like congratulations just to
cheer the typer up a little.

                                thanks
                                rachel

rachie, Des moines, Iowa, United states

3/29/2001:   We understand that it can be difficult to keep your focus solely on typing, that's why we recommend to take frequent brakes, stretch, have a (non-alcoholic) drink, etc. And if you really have to play games, try the ones on your computer or go to Excite.com/games.

     chris, Meadville , Mississippi, USA

When are you guys gone finish this program. I've been
waiting for weeks

     JOe, Madison, WI, US

11/21/2000:   We have to apologize again for the delays, completing at least the first 16 lessons has been taking much longer than we expected. Please be patient. :-(

U and Q Lesson 10 not available

Jonathan M. Trout, Southfield, Michigan, USA

you should have it so you tell them to take a break
and relax because i know my hands got tied and im sure
that other people out their feel the same way. other
wise it is good

     brittany, muskegon, michigan, united states

11/21/2000:   That's a good suggestion! We will incorporate it into our next update. Thank you, Brittany.

put a game in the typing class or something belive me
it will make your website much better.at least by
tomorrow.

     rachel, Iowa , united states

your website is okay.
willyou please answer my other questions now cause it
is getting on my nerves

     rachel, iowa, united states

AFTER THE 7TH LESSON IT WON'T LET ME GO TO THE 8TH OR
BEYOND. IT KEEPS GOING BACK TO THE TABLE OF CONTENTS.
PLEASE HELP ME I WANT TO FINISH MT COURSE

     JOe, Madison, WI , US

10/18/2000:   If you get to the Table of Contents instead of a particular lesson, the lesson has not been "published" yet. The fact that the lesson is in the Table of Contents does not necessarily mean that it is finished. Currently, TypingClasses.com has only 8 lessons. Please be patient ...

This was a very good lesson but it is hard to type in
those little boxes and see what you are typing if it
was changed to be more visable

mary eaton, kingston, pennsylvina, united states

10/18/2000:   Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about this. TypingClasses.com is an HTML based website. This has several advantages (among them the speed of downloading). On the other hand we cannot control the size of the font in DRILL BOXes. That has a lot to do with the resolution on your computer---the larger your screen resolution, the smaller the font. To fix your problem, you can (a) reduce the resolution of your display or (b) try using a different browser.

     Khadijah , Baltimore, MDE:

I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT TYPINGCLASSES.COM IS THE BEST
TYPING CLASS THAT I HAVE EVER TAKEN, AND DEFINETELY
THE SIMPLEST.

     JEN, COVINGTON, KY, USA

This web sit would be even better if you had some
drills with sentences that you had a certain amount of
time to type. Like a timed drill.

     Candace Bibbs/Cando(can-doe), Oxford, Mississippi, usa

10/10/2000:   It's coming in near future ...

I love how u have your drill box it helps me alot!
                           Thanks!
                              :')

     Nikki, Beloit, Kansas, USA

I just want to say thanks for creating this new
website ! I been on it for the past two weeks and I
have been going so fast. So thanks again.

     jennifer , kentucky, USA

Am instructing Senior Citizens and we have an
installed typing program. I see that yours looks good
too and will try it out for myself HOWEVER ...

I have not been able to find anything that helps
people with Computer Keyboarding keys outside of the
letters and perhaps the enter and cap keys.

Would you be able to create a lesson for using

1. arrow keys (through "insert (word/s) between x & y
in the above paragraph.

2. back space key

3. tab key

4. home, end, page up and down keys.

I guess I could do it but I'm inherantly lazy and
anyway it's your website and your lessons.

     wild, white plains, ny, usa

10/10/2000:   I am afraid that arrows, backspaces, page-downs, etc. are beyond capabilities of HTML. However, we plan to have lessons on special characters and digits.

the programme is very good, but I cannot get access to
the tutorial part unit 2.
Can you help me
Donnagh Crowley

Donnagh Crowley, Cork City, Co.Cork, Ireland

10/10/2000::   We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to technical difficulties the pages for Unit 2 are not yet available. Please keep checking!

When you are practicing there should be a way they
tell you you made a typing mistake.

                                 Thanks

Mari, El Centro , CA, USA

9/5/2000::   We plan to add error checking capabilities to our web-site, but it will take a lot more time ... Please be patient.

Hi,
I've become fed up with always looking at the keyboard and
decided to see if anyone had a typing course on the net. By
far your's is the best and I had to email you to say thanks
alot mate. Hopefully my eyes will now be glued to the screen
and with your help - no more daft typo's.

Cheers, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Karen :>))

Hi,

Thanks for the best typing lessons that I have ever had.
Your lessons have increased my productivity immeasurably, my
ability to write, communicate and have given me a better
overall sense of well being.

I thank you.

With warm regards
Lawrence

I went looking for a typing program on the internet and
quickly found your program. My son's school has typing
class and music at the same time. He is learning how to
play the violin and so he misses the typing class. I told
him I would teach him at home. Your program will work
great!! Thank you very much for placing it on the web for me
to use with my son.

Mesa, Arizona

I just discovered your typing class Web site after searching
the Web for just such a site. I came across many
advertisements for books and CD ROM's but I held out hoping
I could find some generous person on the Web who had made
typing lessons available for free. Thank you very much! I
copied the text, and will begin learning shortly. (I am
typing this with two fingers as I have done for the last 30
years).

I'm living in Tokyo, and have been on the internet for only
a few months. This has forced me to reconsider my two
fingered typing ways, especially those real time chats which
I hate.

Gratefully yours,

Russ

Hi,

I am extremely thankful to you for sharing the typing skills
by posting it on the internet. I was surfing the web for
something like this. I am not able to type without looking
into the keyboard. By following your lessons I will be able
to pick up.

Thanks a lot

It will be of extreme help for beginners like me.

thanks for the typing thing, i will turn my kids on to it.
one of them spends too much time on the internet typing the
wrong way.

bill

Hi,

Thanks for putting up your "learn typing" book on the web.
Its been a gret help.

Thanks and regards,
salil

Hi there,

just found your webpage on typing. Thank you so much for
creating it!!!!

I had been searching the web on this topic for a while. I
got everything from the history of typing to wrist injury
prevention, but not the fundamental information : basic
keyboarding instruction.

I was about to give up. Thanks again!!!

Pietra

I would like to thank you for taking your time to add this
service to the net. This is the only program l have found
that teaches me what l need to know with out having to
download anything or having to pay for anything.

Thank you again.
Sincerly Sally

For the past hour I have printing out your Typing Class. I
just wanted to say thanks for the useful informantion.
                                   Sincerely
                                        Mark

To whom:

Just now I surfted across your "Typing" page.
Your statement "Taxi drivers whiz along" was very offensive,
sometimes I drive a Taxi, I am, in effect, sometime a, "Taxi
driver". I do not whis along. The only reasonable
explanation for your choice of practice statements is simply
that you are evil.

Thank you,
dk

6/15/2000:   In TypingClasses.com, we try to create sentences that have specific length and contain as many drilled letters as possible without paying too much attention to the meaning. Even though dk clearly missed the point, the above phrase was removed from our typing course. We do not want to offend anybody, our goal is to improve every one's typing skills!
